Objective

The objective of Karunai Illam Ministry is to promote Physical, Socioeconomic and spiritual development of the marginalized people, especially children in the spirit of Christ. This is achieved by reaching out to the disadvantaged communities that have not been contacted by other social service groups, with education, health care and skills development.

Jus Beads

One of the people groups whose jewellery making skills are utilized is the Gypsies. The jewellery hand made by them include necklaces, ear rings, bracelets and anklets, using thread, leather, pearls, glass, metals and hand rolled beads.

These Hand rolled beads are made by another people group “Rag pickers”

Centres

Karunai Illam currently operates in 7 Centers and many sub-centers and outreach activities from each center.
